Hello!
My name is Abi, and I live in the Lake Norman area in North Carolina. I lived in gorgeous Colorado for 22 years, where I developed a deep love for the mountains, snow, western lifestyle, and all outdoor activity. In 2017, I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a custom bachelor's degree in Medical Support. Currently, I work at LIFE Fellowship in Cornelius, NC as the production coordinator, and I love every moment of my job. When I am not serving at church, I am filling my time with my many different passions: cooking, reading, listening to music (and singing along if I'm alone) watercolor painting, photography, writing, and spending time with my family, friends, and golden retriever service dog named Skipper. I battle many different invisible diseases daily: Cystic Fibrosis, Scheuermann's disease (a spinal disease causing deformity of the spine, degenerating discs, fractured vertebrae, and hemangiomas, thus resulting in pressure on internal organs), and an undiagnosed neuromuscular disorder causing severe myopathy. These illnesses have shaped much of my life as they have driven much of what I can and can't do, and have proven to be a great challenge, but I have found they can also used as ways to connect with others in a unique way and share with them the amazing hope found in Christ. My life has shown me the fragility of life and how important it is to truly live each day for the glory of Christ. Time cannot rewind; spend it wisely and meaningfully. My life is ephemeral, but I strive to live faithfully for my Savior.

I have loved writing for years, but I have always hesitated to share it as I am nervous it will not be well received, not be well written, or valued by the reader. For me, it is has always just been a way to express what is on my mind. Most times, I write for me to reflect, refocus, and regroup. Recently, many friends have mentioned that perhaps I should write more as they are encouraged by my writing when I share it. So here is "Ephemeral & Faithful", a personal blog intended to encourage, educate, and edify you as we strive together to glorify Christ and live in empathy with one another. This may be a long term project or a short term project. I will see where it goes as the Lord directs my keyboard. Regardless, I hope you enjoy browsing my blog and may find some value in my writing. Take a look around; perhaps you’ll discover something of value, inspiration, learn something new, or read something that helps guide you. Please read, share, subscribe, and offer any feedback as you see fit! Thank you for finding enough value in my writing to visit my blog!
